My mother recently had her tongue removed due to salivary gland cancer. We were concerned that we would have difficulty finding a dentist who would be willing to take on her unique and complex case. I called Herald Square dental a month before making an appointment just to ask if the dentist at the facility would treat a patient with no tongue. The representative put me on a brief hold to check with the dentist and informed me it should not be a problem at all. When you call back to schedule make sure you book the visit with Dr. Ian Pasch as he has over 20 yrs experience. When we were ready to schedule it was an easy and smooth process. Easy on line scheduling and the phone/in person interaction was pleasant and super friendly. At the consultation Dr. Pasch answered all our questions and was so kind and patient. The best part of the experience for my mom was getting same day dentures! That same evening I received a personal call from Dr. Pasch just checking in with us to see how my mom was doing with the new dentures. He explained if there are any issues or adjustments needed just call the office and schedule an appointment. I was so thankful for the follow up call. We don't see care like this these days. It was so appreciated! This practice is highly recommended! Thank you Herald Square Dental/ Dr. Pasch for the excellent care you gave to us.

Dr. Yam placed an implant for my missing tooth today. I was super nervous, so I opted for the nitrous oxide inhalation mask and was able to wear my earbuds to distract myself. His assistant Amer kept me calm and patiently answered my 500 questions, and the actual surgery was so fast! Felt like 5 minutes. They showed me the radiographs immediately after, which was super interesting! So far no discomfort, and I would recommend this practice and especially Dr. Yam to anyone who is a wimp like me!

My teeth were in very bad condition, so my only options were dentures or implants. Dentures were the best option for me. Several consultations followed, but after meeting Dr. Pasch, who was recommended by a dentist friend, my search was over. All of my teeth were removed quickly and painlessly. In the days that followed, I did not experience too much pain. My dentures are exactly what I had hoped for. Their appearance is natural and clean. It is a pleasure to work with the office staff. Once again my visit to the Herald Square Dental Center, was a great experience. Registered with the professional ladies up front. they are pleasant and knowledgeable, thank you ladies for always making me feel welcomed. While sitting in the waiting area I enjoy watching fellow patients come in happy and enthusiastic and leave the same way says a lot about this establishment on a whole. The wait is never long, George is one of the assistants I had the privilege of interacting with. He is professional, informative and has a great sense of humor. You listen to your patients and what they feel is important to you. Your work is undeniably top notch and you boost confidence levels and self esteem. This has to be the best dental office in the US. I went in for a cleaning today, and ended up seeing the great Dr. Pasch, then Dr.Yam, who gave up his lunch hour to give me a necessary root canal. Amir, his very knowledgeable assistant, was fantastic, introducing himself at the beginning and making me feel so comfortable and explaining to me what was going to happen and seeing if my insurance covered it. Dr. Yam was super fast,an expert at his craft and also made me feel so assured. What a great experience. How often can one say that about a root canal?!!!

As a Dentist myself I have never written a Google review for another dentist, but Dr. Ian Pasch was so amazing in helping with a dental emergency that I want to express my appreciation for how kind and helpful he was. My wife and I were visiting NYC from California and at 7 pm on a Friday night one of her crowns come off. Even though the office was closed Dr. Pasch stayed and helped me with recementing the crown. He was so kind and professional that I would highly recommend him and his office to anybody looking for a great dentist.

Just before the holidays last year I broke my upper denture. I didn’t want to return to the dentist who had made these dentures, as it took so many visits to get them to fit. Then I discovered Herald Square Dental Center on the internet. I called and received an appointment within 2 days! Amazing! But even more amazing……I was able to have new upper and lower dentures …..the same day!! I had been delaying replacing my old dentures because it had taken so long to get a disappointing result . What a difference this time! My dentures feel wonderful, I can chew again and even look a little younger. Dr. Pasch was so caring and professional and very careful about getting the fitting right. I never had such a pleasant experience at a dentist before. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I have since recommended this office to all my friends and will continue to do so!

I was desperate when I arrived at Herald square dental at the 5 Star recommendation of a good friend who had recently had his pair of dentures fabricated here. I have a very complicated case due to a chronic illness resulting in severe generalized bone loss of my entire oral cavity, so denture-retention is an extreme challenge to achieve. I feel blessed to have been placed in the expert hands and heart of Dr Alfred Shirzadnia. I needed both an upper denture and a lower overdenture and creating them with such poor oral infrastructure on my end required a dentist with a skill set of experience , patience and deep dedication to perfectionism and patient dignity; I am so grateful that I am the lucky beneficiary of all those distinctive traits of Dr. Alfred Shirzadnia. After months of agony, not being able to chew after my former denture broke while deteriorating medically, I arrived in the morning of my appt and left with a full set of dentures that afternoon! As with breaking in a new pair of shoes, I needed some adjustments to achieve maximum comfort along the way but was scheduled for immediate appointments each time and now have a cosmetically beautiful and fully functional and comfortable set of teeth!! I had been so ashamed for such a long time to smile that I was gobsmacked when one day out -of -the -blue a sales person told me I had a ‘beautiful smile’! Those two unexpected words from a stranger can completely change how someone feels about themselves. Dr. Shirzadnia created not just my dentures but an opportunity to recapture a sense of self- esteem I’d forgotten I ever had. I also want to acknowledge the entire staff who realized the emotional and physical stress and upset I was in and were so generous with their empathy and desire to make things right. They all were like my cheerleaders. Because I was financially challenged as well, Dr S. Strategically developed the most economical treatment plan he could devise without compromising on quality for the optimal result. I am 1000% pleased with the care I received here at Herald Square Dental and would highly recommend them to everyone and anyone looking for competent and reliable dental care. I would recommend this practice to anyone who has any dental needs.

My Doctor Alfred Shirzadnia and his Dental Assistant Mr. Ermal Serdari are the most amazing professionals persons I ever met . Since day one they treat me with compassion and kindness, they provided for me the emotional stability that I was loosing after being attacked and punched on my mouth and damaged few of my frontal teeth in the subway Station after work day. I came to Dr Shirzadnia for a consultation because my teeth were shifting. He recommended braces. He showed me through my dental pictures how my teeth had shifted. After two years, I’m happy to say my teeth are straight and look so pretty. I am extremely happy! I highly recommend him. I am so happy I started coming here for my dental work. I used their introductory offer for cleaning, etc.. and also wanted my front tooth filled correctly due to my previous dentist botching it up. I had Dr. Kirshenbaum and I am so happy I did. She did a perfect job. I needed to go back and have a cavity worked on and again she was stellar. I recommend this dental office and Dr. Kirshenbaum for dental work you require.

I was completely terrified of the dentist before meeting Dr. Shirzadnia. I was so afraid that I would have to be sedated before any type of treatment. After my experience with Dr. Shirzadnia (which included a painless dental implant) I no longer need to be sedated before treatment; all because of Dr. Shirzadnia’s compassionate & caring nature. I have my denture replacements today with Dr. Pasch. The original dentures were done many years ago and through out all these years I come to visit the center for service issues. The doctors are well experienced and nice and caring. The office staff are police and nice. Most of all, the services and works done are outstandingly acceptable. If any one ever needs dental work, I strongly recommend to visit Harold Square Dental Center West 35th Street, Manhattan, you will not regret it.

I did a cleaning session with the hygienist Ieva and I cannot be happier with the process and result! Normally I don’t really enjoy teeth cleaning although it is super important. Ieva is the most caring, calming and detail oriented hygienist I’ve ever had. She patiently explained every step she was going through and always asked me if I felt okay. She also had a super positive and energizing attitude - I’m sure it gets tiring to work so many hours cleaning people’s teeth but you could tell that she really cares about her patient and takes this job extremely seriously. Of course in the end I was told that I did a great job protecting my teeth so I am certainly going back to her again for my next cleaning session!

Normally I only write rave reviews about food. Today I want to share with you my best dental cleaning experience ever! Eva is amazing! Not only was it the least painful, deepest cleaning ever but in addition she tutored me in cleaning techniques that nobody ever shared with me. Eva is professional, knowledgeable, but mostly so charismatic. Eva was an assistant for a decade there and recently graduated from NYU Dental School as a hygienist. I was not surprised to see her return as she is amazing at everything she does.

I have seen three dentists at this office and they all do great work. Dr. Pasch got my partial denture to me in one day, explained my options, and called me the night the work was done to check that everything was going well. Dr. Shirzadnia expertly filled a difficult large cavity in my canine tooth and Dr. Yam extracted a broken molar. It was the easiest extraction I ever had, and unfortunately I've had a few. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was explained at every step and it all went according to plan with no surprises. I am very satisfied with all the work I've had done there. In 2015 the partial upper that was made for me when I was probably 16 years old had cracked and was ill fitting. The work that I do requires me to interact with staff, colleagues, contractors etc., on a consistent basis. When I arrived to Herald Square Dental to meet with Dr. Pasch, I explained to him, that I had to take an emergency trip to Israel for a family matter, and I could not leave with a cracked upper partial. Obviously Dr. Pasch sensed my anxiety and he repaired my cracked upper partial and immediately prepared me for a new partial which he had ready in record time. More than the actual dental services that Dr. Pasch provided, was his sensitivity to my particular circumstance and his response to that concern. Over the years I had been meaning to stop by to personally thank him, and I had that opportunity recently when I returned to have a new partial prepared and to have some additional work done. I am also recommending my staff, my family and my friends to come to Herald Square Dental for their dental needs. You are all the best in the industry and I thank you all for the service that you provide, particularly Dr. Pasch.

Honestly, I was super nervous about this process. Mainly because I haven’t had great experiences with dentists in the past. But Dr. Shirzadnia reassured me over and over that I had nothing to worry about… and he was right!! He was very gentle and thorough, and for that I am very grateful. My visit with Dr. PASCH WAS OUTSTANDING AND VERY PROFESSIONAL This was my third visit and I was impressed the first two visits. This recent visit was to have a wisdom tooth (ouch) extraction, I was in dire pain and nervous to the point I wanted to be put to sleep. Dr. Pasch explained the center don't do that. To my amazement he took the time to reassure me to relax and Calm down. He really convinced me of his skill and promised it would be as painless as possible. I had several numbing shots Only to feel a slight prick of one. After that I opened my mouth and LIKE A MAGICIAN my wisdom tooth was out and on the tray. I LITERALLY ASKED was it out. He said yes. I WAS IN TOTAL shock and in awe that everything I was told was real and unlike what I experience with my other wisdom tooth done years ago and not by Dr. Pasch.. NO more pain and left on cloud 9. Later I received A follow call to check my well being . I WAS impressed to tears. Finally I would like to say THANKS you are a testament to Dentistry

It was my 2nd denture made by Dr Yam. 1st one got lost! After 1 wk, I had to go back bc it hurt when bite down on the left side.he adjusted it. But after 1 wk, it still wasn't right. I went back, this Dr Yam did a whole denture make over adjustments! And now the denture fit perfectly! Dr Yam did an excellent job of making my denture fit. I will keep on recommending HSD and Dr Yam to everyone. Especially Dr Yam!! THANK YOU HSD and Dr Yam!!

This place is GREAT. You can't find better service. Amer and Dr. Yam are a awesome team. I am an awful patient I know this because I am so scared. But in comes Amer and he. Relaxes you and prepares you for Dr. Yam. Who is so gentle. I had to ask him twice did you do the extraction? Come on I am ready. They laughed and said all done. Had to go back yesterday and it was pain free. I will take better care of my teeth with the help of these guys. The front desk staff are on point too. I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Xu. I have been to numerous dentists in several states over the years, and I consider Dr. Xu the very best of all. First, he is genuinely engaged with the patient throughout the processes of care. Secondly, he seems sincerely empathetic in his understanding the physical and emotional impact of dental complexities. Finally, Dr. Xu took the time to come up with a solution to replace my bridge, that had been broken 2 years ago leaving me with a horrible removable, ill-fitting partial. Other dentist gave me no hope and presented the only option to restore my smile 10s of thousands of dollars. He was able to restore my smile through painstaking efforts. He is an excellent dentist and an extraordinary professional. I thank you all so much!!

A week after getting new total dentures I chowed down on a large Greek salad. My new teeth needed an adjustment. Dr. Pasch took one look at the problem, and in a few minutes made the necessary adjustment. The results are way beyond my expectations. The teeth are better and more comfortable than my natural teeth ever were. Just had another Greek Salad and enjoyed every bite. Dr. Pasch has “Hands of Gold”. You are wonderful. Thank you

I have had a gamut of treatments & care over the years. I was impressed from the front office ladies and checkin, to the assistants for Dr Xu and Dr. Pash, the doctors themselves;their attentiveness and suggestions. They both had great hands which is critical in my assessment. Even after the local wore off,my mouth felt well treated. The billing dept. worked with me which is very appreciated. Yes, I would recommend this office, the team that worked so well together. Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do but the whole experience led to this review and the deserved praise.

I had an accident and broke the front of my denture (again) and had some decay in my bottom teeth which needed attention as well. Needless to say I was in full panic mode.. On my second visit I literally fell asleep while DR. Xu was drilling. I've never felt so cared for by a team of dental experts before, and i never will again. The office is clean, well kept, and organized. The staff are obvilosly the best at their craft. I am FOREVER grateful for Dr. Pasch and his team. Thank you very much.
