Dr. Britney Nam believes that great dentistry starts with getting to know the person behind the smile. She takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, understand what matters most to them, and develop a treatment approach that feels comfortable, thoughtful, and personalized.
For Dr. Nam, one of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is helping patients feel heard and confident in their care. She approaches every patient and treatment plan with curiosity and attention to detail, taking the time to understand the bigger picture while never overlooking the little things. She enjoys the combination of precision, artistry, and problem-solving that dentistry brings together and is committed to continually growing her skills and knowledge.
Education & Clinical Training
After growing up in Staten Island, NY, Dr. Nam began her academic journey on Long Island, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Professional Writing from Stony Brook University in 2020. She continued her education at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2025 while simultaneously completing a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration.
Following dental school, Dr. Nam completed her General Practice Residency at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. Her residency provided extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of dental and medical needs, with particular exposure to complex restorative dentistry, digital dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and emergency dental care. She also gained valuable experience treating medically complex and special needs patients, further strengthening her ability to provide individualized care in a variety of clinical situations.
Dr. Nam believes that learning never truly ends in dentistry. She is passionate about continuing education and staying current with evolving techniques, technology, and approaches so that she can continue to provide thoughtful, high-quality care to her patients.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Nam has a particular interest in education and mentorship. Her background in Higher Education Administration reflects her passion for learning and her desire to help others grow. She hopes to continue sharing her knowledge and experiences with future generations of dental professionals throughout her career.
Outside the Office
When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Nam loves exploring somewhere new. She enjoys traveling, trying new foods and restaurants, taking ridiculously long walks, reading, playing board games, and solving puzzles. Most of all, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
Dr. Nam looks forward to getting to know her patients, hearing their stories, and helping them feel their best, one smile at a time.
