Dr. Yam has a passion for treating patients who feel self-conscious or frustrated with the condition of their teeth. Dr. Yam incorporates the latest dental technology, including 3D imaging and digital scanning, to ensure precise diagnostics and exceptional results. He is proud to offer same-day denture options through an on-site dental lab, providing patients with faster, more convenient care without compromising quality.

As Regional Clinical Director, Dr. Yam mentors fellow providers and collaborates with clinical teams across multiple offices to uphold the highest standards of care. His leadership reflects a dedication to innovation, education, and compassionate dentistry that drives better outcomes for both patients and professionals.

Education & Clinical Training

Dr. Yam earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry, where he was recognized with the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for excellence in comprehensive care and practice leadership. He completed his dental residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and served as an attending dentist there for several years. His advanced training includes certifications in Invisalign®, TruDenta, and surgical and mini dental implant programs through NYU and IMTEC.

Outside the Office

Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Yam grew up in Flushing, Queens, and graduated from Stuyvesant High School. He has three wonderful children and enjoys spending much of his free time with them. When time allows, he also enjoys reading, snowboarding, scuba diving, and photography, and is an active member of the Joyful Cycles Triathlon team.  Dr. Yam is passionate about giving back. He provides volunteer dental services for Donated Dental Services, has participated in dental outreach programs on the Island of Jamaica, and raised funds for Make-A-Wish by running the NYC Marathon in 2011. He continues to race and volunteer to help raise awareness and support for various charitable causes.
