Time to Manage Your Dental Care!
February is Time Management Month, and we wanted to take this opportunity to demonstrate how you can best manage your dental care visits. Herald Square Dental understands life in NYC is busy, and it can be difficult to effectively schedule and attend your dental appointments. Preventative dental visits are quite affordable and not at all time consuming. It may seem like a hindrance in your schedule, but making these appointments actually is helping you later down the road. If you wait to make an appointment until your gums are inflamed and your teeth are hurting, then the appointments could last longer and may require more than one visit every 6 months.
How often should I make a dental appointment?
– Regular Dental Exam every 6 months (including an advanced Velscope oral cancer screening once per year):
– Prophylaxis Dental Cleaning 35 years & younger: every 6 months
– Prophylaxis dental cleaning 35+ years of age: every 4 months. Gum disease is more common with age; therefore, it is important to regularly maintain your oral health with more frequent visits.
Many insurance plans cover preventative care. If you don’t have dental insurance, check out our specials {page link}. Herald Square Dental aims to make your visit as affordable as possible. Give our office a call for any questions you may have, and make sure you’re managing your dental appointments!
